Re: A strange problem when using 'Advanced Search'. |
Here is another instance:
Any field: brewster kahle [also 'Brewster Kahle' u/case was tried]
AND Collection: is All Collections
AND Mediatype: is All Mediatypes
AND Date range: 2010-01-01 TO 2010-03-03
...And the search did NOT find:
"Brewster Kahle Interview with Daniel Erasmus 2-2010 - Daniel Erasmus of Digital Thinking Network
Daniel Erasmus runs the Digital Thinking Network, a creative thinktank. Here he interviews Brewster Kahle of the Internet Archive on the next 10 years of the Internet. Video to follow.
Keywords: Brewster Kahle"
http://www.archive.org/details/BrewsterKahleInterviewWithDanielErasmus2-2010Note: the search was then extended down by one year [2009-01-01] and one instance was found but is was not the missing item.
The attached files are print screens of the search.
Best regards,
gw

Re: A strange problem when using 'Advanced Search'. |
we have multiple dates in our system.
in the example item you mention, it's field isnt even filled out.
try using "oai_updatedate" in the pulldown field instead -- that "snowballs" a bunch of the dates together and thus will search multiple date fields in an item..
